LOSS

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The Sentinelese went naked
Bows and arrows their means of defence
They refused to be conquered or studied
Perhaps it was sheer common sense

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 They proudly protected their culture
Hunters and gatherers brave
Not for them refined agriculture
They just took whatever fate gave

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A fierce independent black army
But fate had a horror in store
In the shape of a giant tsunami
And now the Sentilese are no more

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 This week if asked how my team has fared
If they lose and rival fans jibe
The loss will be as nothing to me compared
To the loss of that proud savage tribe

Notes

A tribe of a few hundred reputedly fierce inhabitents of a small Andaman island which was demolished by this natural disaster.
