Oh Salford is a town
That often gets put down
But it holds a special place within our hearts
For we won’t forget the names
Of the famous Busby Babes
Who’ll always be remembered in these parts

Now Geoff Bent has long nights
In the Irlams o’ the Heights
And Eddie Colman lies alone in Weaste
But beneath our pure red sky
We won’t let our heroes die
‘Cause legends live forever, here at least

Their spirit lingers on
In our thoughts and in our song
They were the best the world will ever see
Though they can not return
Their flame forever burns
In the soul of the club they call FC

So we’ll raise a glass with pride
To the Babes who sadly died
In the frozen snow of Munich, crushed by fate
And we’ll keep their names in mind
So they never fade with time
And we’ll drink to those we lost in ’58
