my first match

All I’ve ever done is watch football, I can still remember my first game.
United won 3-0 that day and it’s implanted in my brain.
The first time I saw Old Trafford and stood on the Stretford End
I knew this was forever and not just a trend
Best, Charlton, Law, Giggs, Hughes and Cantona are how I’ve spent my life
THEY are definately the reason I’ve never had a wife
To hear the noise from the true fans voice
is music to the ears to see that red machine changing through the years
They have all ways been my first love
Ever since that first match
And I’ll always be a United fan – even when I have dispatched
