A fair result is all I can say
Man U gave all they’d got
And we know that’s quite a lot
But the Gunners clearly matched them all the way

Were giants as they sought to urge their team
Ryan Giggs set out his stall
A welsh wizard on the ball
That he was out of luck was clearly seen

Helped Jens Lehman guard the Arsenal goal
Along with Keown they held back
The Red Devils’ fierce attack
A fifty-fifty effort on the whole

Van Nistleroy and Viera stole the show
Near the six-yard box they clashed
To the turf the big men crashed
And Viera aimed a kick with his big toe

Viera of course began to talk
But with two yellows, had to walk
We’ve not seen him so angry for a while

When a penalty was awarded to Man U
Van Nistleroy hit the bar
That nearly started another war
The referee put hand to mouth and blew
