Ninety Six

Ninety six lives
Put out by the crowd
Whose screams echoed loud
They drowned out the cries
Of Ninety-six lives

Ninety six lives
Their memory brings tears to my eyes
The tragedy hidden beneath a mask
Of one’s rack full of lies
It brings one to ask
The cost of the “Whys?”
Lest we forget the herd
Then justice can never be served
For those whose pain
Used as exploitative gain

Ninety six lives
Hit so close to home
Fans gone to bone
Sealed by eternity’s shroud
Their bodies bound…
