Then powerful and invincible at the Pool of Life
The enemy surprised under crescent and star
A fifth time glorious in the Queen of Cities

Under golden sky, a million people assemble
And the bird with the sprig of laver soars high
The people rejoice and receive him well
He will be supreme in rule and goodness

Land, sea and the countryside will tremble
Hated devils will be driven out completely
Then booming cannons fall silent and still
Heart, vigour, glory, the rule will change

Those driven from their kingdom will return
His fame and renown, greater than any other
