Or is it just a bit longer
Or the pitch not quite as wide?
¶ 3

The goals look much the same
Though the stadium is full of seats.
¶ 4

I remember when we all stood
Loud airhorns and the driving beat
of passionate chants
A new one every week

But one thing hasn’t changed
This every Red fan keeps
In his heart and on his tongue
From ages past it’s steeped
In the tradition of our beloved club
The words telling of brighter days
Silver songs of the lark
And holding your head high.

Some things never change,
Or so I’ve heard it known.
Of this one thing I know it’s true
YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE!
