Playing The Game

I am no statue
For the blood pumps
Through my veins
Feeding my arms and legs
With the power they need
To give you the joy you crave
I am your drug
I am your addiction
I decide your fate
On the turn of my boots
The velocity of my shots
Is more a bullet to your heart
Than any moulded metal
From a gun
I can give you life
And take the cold hands of death
And place them around your soul
I am both your dream
And your nightmare
How I play
Determines your fate
And mine
How we are joined you and I
In the game.
