I am going to a bar in cold and windy Washington, D.C.
to watch Liverpool play on TV in the Champions League.
It is the Lucky Bar and I hope the establishment will be lucky

because I still don’t have my red LFC scarf.
I know my friend Shane will be all bedecked

as a true fan should be. Truth to say,
my scarf must be buried in the spare
bedroom/computer room. I’ll find it one day,

but today I am going to cheer the Reds and shout
and groan without it. Perhaps it won’t matter
and we can still be victorious without it. Well,

I did wear my red Hanes underpants
and that should be sufficient
to put us over the top.
