And concentration.
Keep to a strict formation-
4 4 2;
Or if that doesn’t do
Try 5 3 2 instead

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Sonnet, Villanelle – even iambic pentameter-
Went through my head.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So this is what it’s like I thought;
learning the rule.
More like being back at school
than on an Arvon Poetry foundation;
Not a bit like my imagination
– more like a sport.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Turned out I’d gone to the wrong place, anyway.
They weren’t discussing poetry at all:
football
was the topic of the day.
