I am coming home to Paradise my friend,
For it has been many a year since I have seen
My boyhood heroes play at Parkhead,
Wearing the proud emerald green.

I will say goodbye to a foreign land
That welcomed and adopted me for a good 25 years.
But I look forward to walk once more, down the Gallowgate
And be welcomed home to the Parkhead cheer.

I leave behind a plentitude of memories
That I will store away in my old Glaswegian heart.
But it’s the memories of traveling to Parkhead with my father
That leads me home, to Celtic Park.

The old terraced steps may have disappeared,
And the days of the Jungle have long since gone.
But I shall take a seat in the Lisbon Lions Stand
Where the tradition of Celtic lives in culture and song.
