Leaving painful tears upon the French turf,
Brazil’s dream, a shattered mirror,
Reflected nothing but defeat.

Ronaldo’s heart melting into thin air,
Rivaldo, an idol distorted,filled with black dust;
Roberto Carlos driiping a sad message saying “you won ,we lost’

While Zidane’s joy echoed through Europe,
Vibrated Paris as the home fans cheered danced and sang all night.
Bathez,a denial of the defending world champions their victory,beamed
As the Blues celebrated their first world cup win in the capital city.

Two years later, in Europe, they rose high above the sky.
Italy took its turn to fall at the hands of the mighty world champions.
A great come back from behind to win the first European trophie;
France, a back to back win of this new millenium.

French cities emitted crescendos of joy for their national team—
The king of the world and the heroe of Europe.
At last,the Blues have written history on the ARC DE TRIOMPHE
And put memories in every French citizen’s life.

The summer sun shone brightly, blazing in blue,white and red,
France,once again rode high onto heaven’s lawn in 2003,
This time, being the Confederation cup winner,
And Cameroon, its dream, totally shattered in the final.
