Economics A-Level, pretty basic stuff:
When demand for goods is strong, prices soon go up.
If supply exceeds demand, or demand tails off,
Sure as night doth follow day, prices quickly drop.

Certain things we simply must buy –
Food, drink, clothes and shoes.
But regarding all the rest,
We are free to choose.

If you work and earn,
If you’ve cash to burn,
There are lots of ways to spend it,
Football’s only one of many.

So, if you think your Club is charging
Too much for the game,
There is something you can do,
More than just complain:

Go and watch a movie
At your multiplex,
Buy a nice, new duvet,
Or a pair of specs.

But…don’t go to the Stadium,
Steer clear of the Ground,
Create a bank of empty seats,
Lo, prices will come down.
