Tony Curry was something to savour,
As defenders would wryly concede.
He’d nutmeg his man
To the roars of each fan,
Oh yes! He was hot stuff indeed.

Plain fare from the north of the country,
To which God had added some spice,
Though many still claim
‘Twas a terrible shame
That he never teamed up with Pat Rice.
