Dying breath,
Final pages,
Sudden death.

No reprieve,
Shattered visions,
Left to grieve.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Deep despair,
Last-gasp wins,
This is where
It all begins.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Throughout his amazing career,
He’s the man that all centre backs fear.
He can kill a ball dead,
Burst the net with his head,
And seamlessly move up a gear.

That defenders don’t trouble him much.
With a quick, sudden burst
He will reach the ball first
With a sure and a perfect first touch.

How the hardened heart bled,
When the ball hit Row Zed,
As poor Henrik miscued his last shot.

It took a wonder volley

And now they’re melancholy

Still the faces are brave,
From the window of the plane
Comes a Mexican wave.
