To all football fans who believe
That their team is the best and above all the rest
And regularly under achieve.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When you struggle with a donkey centre forward
Who couldn’t buy a goal if he tried
In a rut he is stuck and way out of luck
And chance after chance he’s denied

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But despite being well out of form
He’s a plyer so hard to contain
One game he will thrive and possibly score five
Which is why in the team he’ll remain

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 That’s football summed up in a nutshell
These games are so hard to predict
I have to confess that you’ll need to impress
If this week your gonna be picked

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Going back to those desperate footy fans
To be honest your never satisfied
When the player you thought was the best the club bought
Who cannot get into his stride.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Last week he should have bagged a hit trick
And the fans are now on his back
Just one single goal will put him back in control
And could save the manager from the sack

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 So next time you fans become angry
Remember why you’re watching the game
Whilst he’s in the team you only can dream
That one day they’ll be singing your name
