Nothing To Gain

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 When you’re the lowest team in your league,
The other teams repeatedly beating you down.
You always feel as if you’re under siege,
Constantly wearing a frown.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “I don’t mind not winning,
But it’s when our other players
Take the mick out of our struggles
It really gets on my nerves.
Because us three give it our all,
100% each week.
Our other girls are a waste of time
Letting the opposition get into space.”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Words spoken by one of the three,
Which I entirely agree with.
It’s a matter of sorting out those players
Or forming a new team of our own.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 One of us, ready to leave
The second, willing to follow.
And myself, without the necessary skill
But just as fed up as them.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So be it.
We might lose two of the best girls
I’ve ever had the chance to play with.
And if we do
My playing, for one, is over
Because there isn’t a will, or a way
That I’ll stand by
And carry on with the remaining.
There’s nothing bright at the end of this tunnel,

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Nothing to turn the tables
Nothing to say
Nothing to gain.
