Every Christmas I remember,
Sleepless Christmas Eve nights;
I remember that our mantelpiece was covered
With stockings of green & white.

Every Christmas would find me dreaming
Of the presents beneath the tree,
I hoped every year for a Celtic strip,
That Santa would bring for me.

On Saturdays before Christmas
My father and me, we would journey,
The snow covered streets of Glasgow
To watch Dalglish and the Celtic play.

Every Christmas brings back memories
Of playing football in the snow,
How we wish we could return once more
To our childhood of long ago.
