I have to say that I really enjoyed
A barren, goal-less fixture.

I’d go along with that
Whilst admirably raising me hat to Joe
For his strategy last Saturday.

A closing note on the travelling Toon
Who ventured out in their thousands
If our club’s future were shrouded in gloom
Would we’ve made the long haul southwards?

Ceaseless with their frenzied singing
The silent home fans were put to shame
Though they never looked like winning
Such admirable pride in their side,
Very nigh eclipsed, me enjoyment of the game!
