Andy Burnham

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Andy Burnham
When Andy Burnham heard those boos, he was faced
with a choice.
He could have just walked away, or he could have given
us a voice.
He gave us that voice, and in places that mattered he
made it heard.
Andy Burnham fought our corner in Parliament with his
every word.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Was Tony Blair as sympathetic? I doubt he could have
cared any less.
I think he was much too wary of upsetting his mates in
the Labour press.
That Labour press of the day included Murdoch’s turncoat
Sun.
But principles don’t really matter in politics, when there’s
votes to be won.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A fresh inquiry into the Hillsborough disaster was Andy
Burnham’s aim
The Spion Kop let him know just how strongly we still felt
the pain.
For all the hard he produced,he’s now probably the Kop’s
favourite blue!
As for his leader Tony Blair, he had no intention of playing his
part too.
