‘Stand on tiptoe’ a Dad wanted to say.
As the crush carried his young son away.
A policeman saw it all, but walked on by.
Didn’t seem to care, just turned a blind eye.

Fighting for your breath, trying to stand tall.
Waiting for some help, would it arrive at all?
A desperate situation on the Leppings Lane.
A man trying to help his son, but all in vain.

The Dad survived from that terrace snare.
But his son lost his life, cruelly starved of air.
Such a tragic waste, only sixteen years old.
That’s why the whole truth just has to be told.
