New Dawn

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re absolutely over the moon here in West London
As the new season gets ready to roll
T’aint the millions splashed on returning prodigal son
Or the epiphany of our geezer in goal.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Nah, it’s waking up to a breath-taking Saturday
Bathed in bright sunshine, hint o’ a breeze in the trees
and a round robin text from a pal o’ mine to say,
“Heard about The Arse? Stung on the bottle by The Bees”.

Notes

Londoners often refer to Arsenal F.C, as The Arse, or The Arsenal, I’ve no idea why, and to be honest I don’t really care. But I thought I’d let on anyway in case readers thought I was trying a extract the wee-wee?

Bottle (n glass). Rhyming slang for derriere.

A warm welcome to The Prem, to West London neighbours, The Bees (Brentford F.C). Enjoy the season folks, oh and try an remember…its only a fluffing game.

Peace,

Stay sage. Bode well.
