Oily, slick and insincere,
The football money men are here.
Riding roughshod through the town,
Turning soccer upside down.

Their first target – Division One
Now let’s rename it, oh what fun!
For the Premiership the outlook’s sunny;

A massive price hike for you and me.
Fans who’d been for twenty years
Were now priced out, reduced to tears.

Is scoff crumbs from the rich man’s table.
While the money men dine on caviare
The rest eat chips from The Star.
