Watched this one at home, on TV
I feared, as I took my seat
At Anfield, the mighty Liverpool FC
Would be very hard to beat

I had seen a sign or two of late
Of things seen long ago
When Shankly’s boys, the bold and great
Were a fine and worthy foe

And so it proved, right from the start
They pushed forward, relentless
And quickly scored, nigh broke my heart
As Arsenal looked defenceless

One nil down, the second half
Arsenal fought back
When we scored, I started to laugh
We had them on the rack

Or so I thought, till a mighty shot
Came flying from out of the blue
And Arsenal deserved what they finally got
They lost the match one two
