1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 So England have won the World Cup
Winning every game along the way
Gerrard and all his fellow stars
Showed the world how to really play.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Wayne Rooney was on fire
As was the brilliant Emile Heskey
The fans back home were going mad
From Carlisle down to sunny Torquay.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Capello brought the best out of his squad
Especially his goalie Robert Green
Some of his saves were unbelievable
The best the world has ever seen.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But what about the game against Germany ?
The Three Lions just tore them apart
By letting them go two goals up
Showed our tactics were really smart.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So England finally rule the world
They are now the number one team
But we all know this just isn’t true
Sadly it was just another crazy dream !

Sarcastic yes, but well deserved ! But thankfully Spain won so all’s well that ends well. Holland turned out to be cloggers, pardon the pun !
Now all England have got to do is build again, with lots of young players, so that should take four years, but can’t see us even then being that strong.
