In Mowbray We Trust

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Jimmy Hill started a revolution
he had his Sky Blue dream,
the bearded one was our messiah
and he built a winning team.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But that was way back in the sixties
a time when kids had rattles in their hands,
when players could make crunching tackles
and fans wore big rosettes sat in the stands.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 But fast forward to the present day
and Coventry City are in League One,
those games against the top sides
are sadly in the past and long gone.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Yet could the Sky Blues be on the way back up ?
as Tony Mowbray is turning things around,
he’s building a decent young squad of players
which is bringing the fans back into the ground.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So this season could turn out to be a good one
as Mowbrays revolution is now underway,
and who knows it could end in promotion
with us City fans celebrating in the month of May !

Notes

Tony Mowbray has said he will take two seasons to build the squad he wants to get us out of League One but us long suffering fans would like him to do it in one season. We are playing some great football at the Ricoh but not so hot on the road but if they can turn that round I can see the Sky Blues up challenging near the top at the end of the season.
