For years I’ve heard of FA Cup magic
As Norwich City dreams gathered dust
Our Cup runs remained almost static
Ancient trophies turned to rust

The fabled trip to Wembley – I’ve never been
The strong Cup presence – I’ve never seen
The FA Cup mainly dresses in red or blue
It’s never worn our yellow and green

FA Cup memories for me are lean
I can’t tell you what it would mean
The recent silverware at Carrow Road
Consists of Delias fictional soup tureen

Our ball in ‘the hat’; excitement and caffiene
For the first time since 1995

Waiting to be drawn

I don’t know who to thank
But we’re playing Leicester City
And that Saturday won’t be blank
