1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The Olympics is over for our teams
as usual the men paid the penalty
but the women gave it their all
but lost out to Canada in Coventry.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I didn’t enjoy the mens football that much
the quality at times was very poor
you could see they tried their best
but I expected to see so much more.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Does football really belong in the Olympics
when the squads aren’t all that strong ?
we’ve got plenty of competitions already
the Olympics just seems to be all wrong.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Still it gets you in the mood for the new season
as there’s only a couple of weeks left to wait
and even though our football teams are out
we’ve won lots of Gold medals which is great.

Notes

I have to admit I haven’t really got into the Olympic football ,maybe
because there’s so much other sport going on at the same time.
It’s been a long season anyway with the Euros as well, just one tournament too many ? My mind is on my club too much at the moment,but I’m pleased to hear that fans from around the world have enjoyed the Ricoh Arena,and I hope they got a good view of the pitch from my seat !
