Praying for my club

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I think my Football is dying
and it hasn’t got long to go
but when I tell people about it
most of them don’t want to know.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But real Football fans understand
what your club means to you
because without it life would be strange
in fact what on earth would you do ?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “Pull yourself together as it’s only a game ”
but to us fans it means so much more
as Football is a community and a family
there for each other come win,lose,or draw.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “Can’t you go and follow another team,
as there’s plenty of them around ?”
but I support just the one club
and would never set foot in any others ground.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So please my Football club keep on going
and I’ve been praying that you do
because where else can us fans go
to sing,cheer,swear, and boo !

Notes

Coventry City are now in administration and got hit with a ten point deduction.The club are appealing it but the odds of reversing that are slim.
So we can’t now go for a play off place,and there’s talk of even more points being docked.So we are going through tough times right now,but us hardcore City fans are still going to turn up in fact we sold out all our tickets at Walsall last saturday,taking nearly three thousand there.
They say when times are tough people show there true character,so I’m proud to be amongst City fans who are showing there loyalty to our club
while the part – timers stay away.
