Screaming in the Faces

Bulging eyes cracking out of the skull
Jaws open with the mouth of a wild animal
Crying out in euphoria with a trace of dander
Team-mates clamber with pulses no longer dull
Running precisely towards a crestfallen bander
With all the refinement of a blood stained cannonball.

This figure singled out by the eyes of the offender
Who wants to absorb the despondency in the face
Of just one of the many his deed has disheartened
Swear words resound as they despise the surrender
Their team has abided to whilst this criminal won’t be pardoned
For his forgivable act was followed by an attitude so base.
