Silence Speaks Loudest

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It’s quiet around here today
An eerie quiet
A subdued quiet
That speaks of
Something wrong
A stunned silence
Struggling to find
The right words
When pictures push
Such words away
Footballers can score goals
That leave you breathless
But the callous bombing
Of innocents
Just leaves me
Speechless.

Notes

In memory of the innocents who died and those injured and those left bereaved in London today by the callous and evil actions of cowards whose bombs brought only further divisions in a world already divided by bigotry, hatred and ignorance.

Londoners are a hardy lot, and they’ll come back stronger and more determined than ever not to allow the acts of terrorists threaten their way of life; Ken Livingstone was spot on today saying that in London the world lives side by side. Ok we know its not perfect but its a dmaned sight better than many places that some have to live in as they struggle to survive.
