Clare, Its Over To You !

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I may have missed yer point
You may have missed mine
The girls I know at football
Are fans straight down the line

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The banter and the worship
Is all part of the craic
Everybodys welcome
To give and take it back !

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I go to match to watch the game
With mates I’ve known for years
All the other stuff you mention
I wouldn’t shed a tear

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The money and the corporates
Are really not my thing
Under played over paid idols
Kitted out in bling !

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 My focus is on spectacle
Of losing and to win
Boys club?
Sorry no can do
It’s a competitive kinda thing

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Woman also have it
Just as we men do
To moan and bleat
As yer team get beat
Is something we both do !

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 There are no second class citizens
In place where I watch games
If there was I wouldn’t go
Equality’s the name !

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 The boys pens you speak of
Not heard of those before
Please explain in more detail
So I can then be sure?

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 I get yer drift on other stuff
But it is not perhaps
Why I go to the football?
Purely for the match

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 I speak with all me female mates
On team and what’s the score
We both agree and disagree
Bordering on war!

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 I don’t do Mr Raymond
It’s like being back at school
My name is Kevin to all out there
It’s over Clare to you?

Notes

I’m not quilified to comment on the all the other points that you raise so eloquently, but in my expierence of my home team, Chelsea and the people I sit with male and female we are as one in slagging off or praising which ever the case may be. We all pay the same price for our seats and are treated exactly the same through out the year. If Peter Reid won’t give up his seat for you in the hacks coop that’s not sexist its just called blimmin bad manners where I come from!

peace.

kev.
