“Nah
Duh!
Don’t want to!
Don’t like it!
What do you care?
Why should I?
What the heck?”

Soon it’ll be “arse, drink, fe@k!”
What bothers me, is the waste of talent in a child
When you want them to be wild
They just slump on their bums
Thumb slugging
When they should be out there testing their toes
Instead of reducing me to testy prose
Their hormones out of whack –
A future Fr Jack?

It’s ball skills they need
Not digital ease
But can I get them out for a run?
When it all used to be such fun
Passes, flicks, trix
Now it’s just posting pix
And emoji’s, lol, Facebook, Instagram, Snaprap
And chilli chatrooms, flatlining
When they should be out there defining
Their future

And who do I see myself as?
Mrs Doyle
Ah go on, go on, go on!
