THE FULL BACKING OF THE BOARD

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Despite the dreadful run of results
culminating in that 8-0 thrashing,
the Manager still retains the Boards’ full backing.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Notwithstanding the anger of the fans
(or the on-going players’ strike)
we will not be asking the Boss to take a hike.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Let me reiterate- the Manager is here to stay.
(Yes, we have considered our plummeting share price
and the sordid allegations of beneath-the-surface vice).

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The players must stand up and take their share of the blame
(despite the startling slump in match day attendances
and the revelations concerning the Boss’s alcoholic tendencies).

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So, gentlemen of the press, thank you for your time.
Do we really need to spell it out for you anymore?
(Oh, and Boss, before you go, could you hand your keys in at the door?)
