For the pompey fans who did amaze
You really were the best we`ve had
And to come so far you must be mad
We had to laugh but bloody hell
A bit out of tune with his bugle and bell
But your passion and singing was ten out of ten
And we look forward to having you all again
We football fans are not all that bad
Some are idiots and some are just mad
But we at Bolton are all full of cheer
Your welcome any time for a pie and a beer.

Notes

This was wrote and placed on the Portsmouth web site where it was most welcome.
The fans had travelled up to the Reebok on a cold and wet Tuedsay evening and were a credit to themselves and their club.
This season was the same also and during a fuel strike they still came in their numbers and cheered their club. Well done Pompey fans.
