The Season So Far

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 If I was a schoolteacher
And my team was a pupil
My early term report would say
They can and must do better.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 As usual they showed early promise,
Getting off to a very good start
But alas, they couldn’t keep it up
Reverting back into slovenly ways.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Concentration and discipline are weak areas
That need to be addressed urgently
A casual attitude will not be accepted
So I have recomended extra psychology lessons.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 If they carry on in this lazy manner
They will get left behind by the others
It’s all very well just turning up
But it’s what you do that counts.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But there’s a long term ahead
Hard work can bring positive results
So let’s hope my report at the end will say,
Well done, that’s more like it, you’re top of the class !

Notes

A football manager is very much like a teacher, some get instant respect from their pupils (players) while others have to work at it.
But our boss, Chris Coleman, has to look at his own performance too, he can do better also.,
