The World Cup is here
It’s been away for 4 years
South Africa is where it starts
That’s where there will be many broken hearts.

People will come from near and far
By train, bus and even by car

Throughout the world, people will cheer
Singing and dancing and drinking cheap beer
The big televisions will be on full show

Teams will go home with sadness in their hearts
Wishing the tournament would restart
Another 4 years till the tournament starts
When they return again with beating hearts.
