Wild Blue Yonder

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A break can be good, abhor or adore
Makes you appreciate them all the more
Playing ball out the back, arms raised every goal
Get up off the ground son; you’re not Ronal-doh
Pushing the buggy, long walks in the sun,
An ice lolly each in the shop when we’re done
We’ve gone to the beach, castles in the sand
Racing up and down the vast Banna strand
Did the summer fair when it rained out in Blarney
Saw the Wiggles, wiggling down in Killarney
It hasn’t all been fun and games, some distress
Potty training can leave such a terrible mess
Fridays return from our wild blue yonder
Hoping absence makes the heart grow fonder

Notes

The League of Ireland resumes this Friday after a 2 week break.
Is it “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” or “Out of sight out of mind”?, I can’t remember 😉
