All We Want For Christmas

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Yuletide is fast approaching,
And all the talk’s of gifts.
Old Santa’s gearing himself up
To work his yearly shift.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The kids are writing letters,
To make clear every wish.
And adults too are at it,
Young, Old, Black, White, Poor, Rich.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 It seems all want a present,
Well, all except us Blues.
We’re sitting on the sidelines here,
For prezzies we’ve no use.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We don’t want any razor blades,
No aftershave or soap.
We’ve no desire for Ray-Ban shades,
We only have one hope.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We don’t require underpants,
No socks or boxer shorts.
No toasters, drills or bedside lamps,
Our list is very short.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 We ask no curry powder,
To make a tasty dish.
We’ll shout it even louder,
We only have one wish!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 For all we crave is Justice,
Cos we feel mighty miffed.
We think we’ve been hard done by,
Been given such short shrift.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 So we won’t care if Santa brings
Us no gifts in his sack.
Cos all we want for Christmas is
To have our ten points back!

Back in 2005, I posted on this website a poem entitled All I Want For Christmas. Now here is a re-worked, updated version thereof…
