George ” Iron Man ” Curtis that’s who
A captain in every sense of the word !

This is about a captain Cov City had in the sixties, George Curtis, and I can see him now running on to the pitch, ball tucked under one arm, with a look that said, I’m in charge of this lot, okay ? Captains in that era, usually were tough, both physically and mentally, they stood apart, but today maybe the armband is handed out to anyone, even goalies !
