I think of this having heard of
Valencia vs Real Madrid 90-105 in the
Semi Final of Basketball Euro League.
For me football is above the many other sports quite
emotionally.
Could Chelsea mean anything other than football? I am dissapointed to see the biggest sporting
institutions strech one name across football and
basketball.
Could Chelsea mean anything other than football?
Could Chelsea be a basketball club ?
And Brazil as a basketball or as a football team in the collective memory of generations.
Could Manchester City mean anything other than football ? And Benfica Lisbon ?
In former Yugoslavia
Jugoplastika Split basketball club was not called Hajduk Split.
Cibona Zagreb basketball club was not called Dinamo Zagreb.
We have Real Madrid and Valencia both basketball giants.
For some people and for many people nothing but football is good enough.
