but how did it happen so fast
how did it fly in the wink of any eye
buried and gone with the past

none of them tell the true tale
where did we soar like never before
where did we suddenly fail?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 tictacs and tactics and dreamplans
written and bellowed and spoke
down from the stands or your manager’s hands
all of them up there in smoke

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 that was the season that was (or wasn’t)
that was the one we’ll recall
