Fans should be dancing deliriously
on the streets of Swindon.
So why are supporters nonplussed?
Distrust growing daily at the
lack of information;
local journos digging deep
to extract nuggets from
a club where silence seems golden.
Town boss Sturrock as
frustrated as the fans;
search for new players
scuppered at every turn;
rumours that he could walk;
his replacement a foreign boss
as Town become a feeder
club for some of the top
European names.
Gloss taken off battling
performance at Cheltenham –
where ghosts of 2002
were (mostly) laid to rest –
by shenanigans off the pitch.
Takeover? Makeover? Fakeover?
