Watching your team lose in the pouring rain,
An offside decision you just can’t explain.
Walking home, upset, from White Hart Lane.
This is Football to me.

Dodgy food that is served at half-time.
Creating a mountain, that you just can’t climb.
Players getting injured when they’re in their prime
This is Football to me.

Players on the front page, when they should be on the back.
Managers not given a chance before they get the sack.
Its all about the wags, who are shopping in a pack
This is Football to me

After losing, deciding who is to blame.
After a managers sacked who is next in the frame.
Reading this I’m not so sure why I love this game.
This can’t be football to me.

I’m not serious, this is just a small section
Of the game I love and have lots of affection.
The joy, tears and skill and the fans connection.
This is really football to me.
