Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

This week, Barca – next week Man U, or perhaps
Milan; whoever pays me most, that’s where I’ll go.
Euros, or sterling – I don’t really care. I’ll kiss the
Badge and pretend I love the club, until my agent
Finds another wealthy owner to pay up the cash.

But it’s okay; I’ll always do my best when the sun
Shines and the grass is green. While we’re in for
A trophy and the fans sing my name, everything’s
Rosy – but should I get injured, or my form dries up
Then it’s off to Madrid, or Marseilles…even the MLS.
