the walk under the subway,
the smell of burger vans,
mutters of prediction,
‘matchday programme?’
cranking of the turnstiles,
walking to your seat,
climbing the stairs
thinkin’ its been a while –
despite a season of a 46 repeat.
1 of 28,000
smoking on the terraces,
chanting together,
finding your voice,
the referee needs glasses
hoping for three points.
