A black and white chain has been broken
Which has held strong for Forty One year
The Fairs cup winners today are in mourning
With the passing of Jackie Sinclair.
The wee man from north of the border
Who was to become such a hero of mine
And played his part in bringing us glory
Back in that summer of Sixty Nine.
We have been starved of success for so long
But at least I can say I was there
And I still hang on to all of those memories
That you gave me Jackie Sinclair.
