At home, against Hull and in driving snow
Boro’s strikers’ performance can only be described as so-and-so,
A point gained but two points thrown out of the window,
We need up front players, who are strikers from head to toe,
I hope I will not be regarded as mad or gung-ho
When I say two strikers I know
Who have the get-up-and-go,
Will score at home, away even when pitch is under snow.

At first glace this partnership may look questionable
Due to their apparent lack of stature, that’s understandable
I assure you, on the pitch they are dynamos and desire to win unquestionable
Supporters will have no cause to boo, hiss or berate them for a near miss
But clap, cheer, make a din; united in seeing their club climbing up the table from abyss.

Shadow child, the child of the shadows to be precise,
Is from the rare union between a dweller from the dark side
And a maid of Hartlepool.

At two he was taken on to the North Yorkshire Moors, like all of his kind
With only a nappy, his baby blanket and a packet of digestives left behind
Either to perish in the harsh environment or survive with incredible powers
Assume the title of ‘Lord of the Shadows’ and destroy all mankind,
Until he discovered football and changed his mind.

His partner is equally charismatic
Is of the similar stature, but more acrobatic
4 years old Sam Drummond from the Billingham,
With football at feet, he can not be outrun
And has never been beaten one-to-one
Even by twenty-one,
Because of stamina he’s known infant Samson.
The plenty king has never missed
In his garden or in front of thousands at Riverside,
Back of the net the ball has always kissed,
He does not know the meaning of pressure or nerves.

You’ve tried all the rest
Now is the time to use the best.
This is the sort of striking partnership,
Boro’s need,
Goals to be guaranteed!

Please, please, please
Sign them now!
Before Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United
Prove to be more far-sighted
Than us and pinch them from under our noses.
¶ 13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 I’ve enclosed photographs which are unclear, this is purely intentional just incase they fall into the wrong hands.
