Aprils’ Angels

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The years they seem to pass by at such an alarming rate.
Yet justice for the Hillsborough victims we still patiently await.
There’s nothing worse than seeing liars take centre stage.
And while the lies continue how can we turn over this page.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But for one day this month I’ll put all my anger to one side.
That day is about remembering each of our fellow red that died.
96 innocent victims at a football match so cruelly taken away.
But I suppose when God’s in need of Angels, God will have his
say.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So this April 15th I’ll remember every man, woman and child.
I’ll also never forget those victims who under the ‘96’ are not
filed.
You’ll never be forgotten within the banks of our Liverpool shores. .
In the company of God you are, his chosen Angels with no flaws.

Notes

Thanks for reading, remember ‘Hillsborough’ could have happened to 96 loyal and decent footy fans from any club.
