Euro 2012 IX : capiche?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “Them Welcott and Walbeck boys done good!” –
that’s the trouble with success:
creeping out of the woodwork
come the nouveau capiche
the pseudo pundits
the bandwagon jockeys

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 meanwhile, the die-hards entertain them, just;
we nod sagely
diss them internally
then turn to our erstwhile buddies
as we mull over our fomenting formations
and salacious selections;
over our informed bets
our sagacious forays into the realm of Fantasy Football…
or strive for qwerty qwitticism

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 but every once in a while
it’s nice
to be pleasantly surprised!

Watch neck muscles bulge
As he scores ‘ere long

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Enter the fray
Oh wing’d wonder
With pace to burn
All set to plunder

A villain too
Loved in lore

For a winning feel
Oh Danny boy
The Swedes down at heel
